Nuclear Waste Proximity Principle presented at Queen's Park!
On May 30, 2023, the "Proximity Principle" petition was presented in the Ontario Legislature by We the Nuclear Free North and Protect Our Waterways-No Nuclear Waste. The principle would require that nuclear waste not be moved over long distances. The petition was presented by MPPs Sol Mamakwa (NDP), Lise Vaugeois (NDP), and Mike Schreiner (OGP).
