DID YOU KNOW?

In 1997, the City of Thunder Bay held a plebiscite on several topics. The leading issue was whether citizens were in favour of the disposal of nuclear waste in the Thunder Bay area. The results? 36,163 against, and 3,309 for. Thus, 91.6 percent of those who voted were against the disposal of nuclear waste in the Thunder Bay area.

Thunder Bay's City Council subsequently made a resolution to record their concern with the issue.
