Celebrating 50 years of Environment North!
Many Envirnment North members and others enjoyed a fun afternoon at Roots to Harvest on September 10, 2022. The agenda included a brief history of past successful campaigns, a play, music by Rodney Brown and a barbeque. Past Board Member Lucy Laframboise was awarded a Lifetime Membership for her many years of dedication to creating more awareness of the climate change issue. Her concern about the impacts of climate change on future generations motivated her to join Environment North. Delightful cupcakes, made by Lucy, topped off the event.

Environment North now looks ahead to raising awareness on some key issues facing the region:
- the risks associated with a nuclear waste disposal site bwtween Dryden and Ignace,
- impacts of industrial development on regional waterways including Lake Superior
- climate change impacts on Lake Superior.
