Walking Together for a Better World

Are you concerned about the state of the world and the future of our planet and our community? Are you looking to connect with people to focus on the common values we share: concern for fellow human beings, and love for the natural world?

On Saturday, April 29th, local groups (CUSP and partnering groups Ontario Nature, Environment North and the Council of Canadians) are organizing a walk from Hillcrest Park to Waverley Park (starting at 2 pm) to re-affirm and celebrate our humanity.

Across the world, April 29th is the People's Climate Mobilization.

This will be a family-friendly event, and all welcome. Wear a costume, sing a song, carry a banner, support an art project, or just come as you are! Will you join us?

The walk will take place rain or shine, and St. Paul's United Church (349 Waverley St) has graciously offered us space to connect should the weather not cooperate.

If you are part of a group that would like to participate or are interested in helping out with organization, please call 807-286-1790.
