Ontario's Climate Change Discussion Paper - 2015
Environment North prepared comments on the MOECC (Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change) Ontario's Climate Change Discussion Paper (EBR Registry Number: 012-3452). Environment North while welcoming a carbon pricing mechanism reiterated concerns previously expressed regarding a cap and trade system. Also discussed were theme of building energy efficiency and the importance of strategic policies in various sectors. In addition concerns regarding investments in large fossil fuel infrastructure such as Energy East were also mentioned.
