"Consider the Global Impacts of Oil Pipelines"

This report appeared in the comment section in a recent publication of the journal Nature (Vol. 510 page 465). It argues that a coherent approach that "evaluates all oil-sands projects in the context of broader integrated energy and climate strategies, is sorely needed".  

"A key step is a moratorium on on new oil-sands development and transportation projects until better policies and processes are in place".
