While has been established that meeting Canada's greenhouse gas reduction is next to impossible if tar sands oil production is expanded this new report by Oil Change International shows how Canada would be a signicant contributor to a global failure to meet the Paris goals of a safe climate if pipelines are built and oil production from the tar sands increases.
