Carbon Fee and Dividend
Environment North members Graham Saunders and Kerstin Muth joined the Citizens Climate Lobby (CCL) in Ottawa in November 2013 to meet with Members of Parliament and discuss a Carbon Fee and Dividend. There was a strong Northern Ontario contingent including CCL members from Red Lake to Sudbury. Small groups met with 26 members of Parliament from the Conservative, New Democratic Party and Liberal parties. In Question Period on November 19, 2013, Member of Parliament Bruce Hyer asked the Government to protect the environment and taxpayers by supporting a carbon fee and dividend.
