AGM 2018 Highlights April 24, 2018

Board Members were determined for 2018-2019
Returning board members are Julee Boan, Scott Harris, Lucy LaFramboise, Susan Grinstead, Dodie Legassick, Lea Matyuska, Karen Peterson, Graham Saunders

New board member: Environment North welcomes Bruce Hyer to the board.

Departing board member: Environment North thanks Kirsten Annis for her contribution to the board.   

Chromite Mining and Processing

At the AGM Environment North hosted a public presentation on the potential environmental and health impacts of chromite mining in the Ring of Fire and of ferrochrome processing. The guest speaker was Ugo Lapointe, Canada program coordinator with MiningWatch Canada.
