Environmental Laws Impacted by the Budget Bill
Canadian Environmental Law Association and EcoJustice Canada have conducted a comprehensive legal analysis of potential impacts of the proposed amendments of various environmental statutes in Bill 55, the Strong Action for Ontario (Budget Measures) Act, 2012. Key concerns, as well as key opportunities, for meeting Ontario's fiscal and ecological concerns are identified.
Letter to Premier McGuinty to Environmental Groups
Environment North was one of approximately 50 Environmental Non-governmental organisations (ENGOs) to sign onto a letter to Premier McGuinty opposing the proposed changes to environmental legislation in the 2012 provincial budget.
